Read the May/June 2022 Issue Now!

The May/June Venue Professional magazine is hot off the - well, not exactly hot off the literal press - but hot off the digital publishing and available for your viewing and reading.

Bravo to Stacey Church, Assistant General Manager of the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, and our most deserved cover story profile. Stacey shares about how networking and connections have helped pave the way for much of her success. You will want to be sure and get involved in ways as Stacey has done in her illustrious career to reach some of your professional goals.

Operations efficiency is a big deal, and we look at the still relatively new Chase Center in San Francisco for a discussion on that topic in a feature article. There is some technology involved, which is only fitting as another feature examines Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle and what that venue is doing to get people in and out quicker when they visit the concession stand or one of the arena's "markets" to do their shopping.

In this issue, you will also get expertly written stories on grappling with poor crowd behavior and housekeeping made excellent. There are also features on utilizing student volunteers on a campus performing arts setting and a sustainability feature from the Edmonton EXPO Centre and Edmonton Convention Centre.

With sector columns and our other array of features you will have more reading to build your knowledge and entertainment base.

I again invite you to contact me at rv.baugus@iavm.org for article ideas and if you have a desire to write on a particular subject. The magazine is yours, and it is your voice we want to hear from!

Thank you for reading, and as always please make sure to contact me at rv.baugus@iavm.org with your story idea for the publication. We are here to serve you, dear IAVM mebers.
